Anxiety Disorders - How To Effectively Overcome Anxiety
 
 
Today in the United States anxiety disorders are recognized as the largest single group of mental disorders. This is according to a NIMH study. From this study they suggest that seven percent of the population is affected by it. In general anxiety disorders are also associated with many other different physical illnesses.

Anxiety disorders are common around the world within the general population. It is projected that anxiety disorders could form the second most common cause of disability by 2020

Under further research they have found that those individuals who suffer both from anxiety disorders and physical illness have a worse quality of life and in actual fact are at greater risk for disability than those who suffer only with a physical illness.

Anxiety disorders are common, and can affect almost 15% of people at one stage or another in their lives. So what is anxiety disorder and how does it affect you?

Anxiety disorders basically are problems in the way we think and our thoughts. When it occurs people feel excessive anxiety. This can occur for varying reasons, the most common of which is fear or distress during an experience whereby many others would not suffer with these symptoms.

In essence anxiety is the means by which the body sets off an alarm which alerts you to danger and then from this extra energy is provided to cope with or accomplish a given task. The challenge is that anxiety disorders are not just a simple clinical condition that can be specifically treated; this is due to the fact as mentioned, whereby the body has a healthy anxiety function so as to deal with danger.

Anxiety disorders are more than just raw “nerves.” Anxiety disorders can be more characterized when an individual begins to feel panic. This may occur for no apparent reason and some can experience this even when situations are not that stressful, if stressful at all. The additional challenge is that anxiety can arise at anytime.

Around the world anxiety disorders are in general treated with psychotherapy and medication. These approaches are often not very effective, and they often has potentially life threatening side effects. While the traditional means of treatment can be effective, there are also additional things you can do to help reduce anxiety and stress, such as yoga, and various exercises.

One Natural way to deal with anxiety, that has been proven highly effective, is NLP.

One underlying root factor is fear. Fear is often the root cause behind anxiety disorders. The fears that can be invented in the mind may have no bearing in reality however that does not make them any less real for the individual who harbors those thoughts. It is often what we think regarding a future event that can over time bring about anxiety disorder. We can also fear what others think and this of course can go on indefinitely.
